Our cloak of dreams and aspirations

We have been very busy writing our dreams and aspirations for Matariki (the Maori new year).
We wrote our dreams onto feathers so that we could
make a 'cloak of dreams'.

First we carefully wove long pieces of material over and under the strips of cloak.

Then the cloak was modelled to make sure
that it looked right.
Next we threaded some string through our feathers and tied them onto the cloak.
Finally we hung the cloak up in the window so that the seven stars of Matariki can shine their power down onto our dreams.

Here are some of our dreams:

I will try to speak more Maori.
I will try to find a  mermaid book from the library.
I will try to go in a rocket.

I want to run fast so I can win a silver medal.
I want to make a boat all by myself and I want to make a tree house.
