Basic facts rainbow

We have made this basic facts rainbow to help us learn our basic facts to 10.
All we have to do is slide around the rainbow to find which two numbers go together to make ten.

For example, 7+ ___ = 10?

Follow the orange stripe from 7 and find 3.
7+3 = 10.

How fast can you find the number pair to make 10?

Teen numbers have one ten

10 + 1 = 11
10 + 2 = 12
10 + 3 = 13
10 + 4 = 14
10 + 5 = 15
10 + 6 = 16
10 + 7 = 17
10 + 8 = 18
10 + 9 = 19
10 + 10 = 20
But 20 has 2 tens.

Counting by 10s

The triangle and squares group have been packaging up acorns in groups of 10 to help them count them all.

They counted up how many packets of 10 they had.

If they
had 7
packets, that meant they had
70 acorns altogether.

We checked the answers by skip counting in 10s.
10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70.
